General Information

Measuring (Timber Posts, Walls or Brickwork). All sizes refer to actual openings and not the gate, fence or rail width; we have already allowed for hinges etc.

Fittings. All gates, fence and railings are supplied with a pack of screw on / bolt on fittings to fix to existing timber or brickwork. Complete with full fixing instructions.

Opening Directions:
Gate Latching: All single, bow top and tall single gates are supplied with a universal latch to allow for left / right hand opening. All doubles have the latch on the right hand leaf when viewed from the road.
Gate Latching (Corfe and Balmoral): All Corfe and Balmoral gates have the padlockable closing bolt on the right hand side when viewed from the road, unless otherwise requested.
Gate Hanging. All single and tall single, bow tops and Regent and Classic doubles have fixed hinges. All other doubles and tall doubles have adjustable hinges to assist with levelling during installation. All Corfe and Balmoral gates have adjustable hinges.

Square Steel Posts. Due to the weight of the gates, care must be taken to ensure brickwork is strong enough to support them; steel posts which are concreted into the ground are recommended on all large gates.
Should you wish to hang the gates on steel posts, be sure to allow for the post widths. Eg. a 2438 (8'0") opening pair of gates and two 70mm (3") posts will fit a 2578mm (8'6") gap.

Availability and Delivery. Most gates, fence and railing are available ex-stock for 7-10 day UK mainland delivery. Large doubles and tall doubles 14-21 day delivery. Made to measure items 21-28 days. Carriage charges may be applied.

Finishing. All gates, fencing and railings are primed in black, after fitting a further coat of good quality gloss paint is required. The gold effect on rail head gates is not a factory option.
